Yes!You've guessed it...I have been so busy I haven't had anytime to update by blog but hey am here so lets keep this going.

So there is a long weekend ahead and am excited because this means i can afford to stay in bed longer, speak longer hours on the phone with my baby[ oh my god i miss u edward], procrastinate a bit...my brain cells are tired i swear...

Last week was so much of a hassle and it all comes again with been the President and Vice President of too many organizations at a time. I got my self rushing through the review and amending of bylaws and writing up new constitutions; when all that was done I had to hold so many meetings---at the end of the day my feet was all tired, my back ached , my head was spinning and most time i would wake up not even realizing that i fell asleep...and that is without prayer...but everything is getting slower and its all good because now i can focus on me some more....

Funny but as am writing this blog am getting a bit sleepy...lol...haaaa so guess what i think am going to bed right now...

WOW.....where do i begin.

I have been so busy ever since I landed on the island. For one thing I have lost my mind, and I am now heartless.

I do not even say what to say and I am not the kind of person to come online or use my blog to talk about my life. Anways...

Well my vacation isn't going too bad. I have been going to alot of parties>>lol...its like Lisa makes it a must for me to leave my house n go liming. My word I had a blast at Karaoke.I sang like there's no 2morrow. My parents too have been doing alot to keep me happy n reward me for my hard work at school...

I have the best friends ever....not fake but real as it comes.Oh my god I love Tamiko...she makes laugh n she lets me know every minute of everyday how much she loves me...i can go on and on about my friends but duty calls...

Lately I have been so busy trying to improve my health--I was sick for roughly 2-3 weeks and boy or boy I am very happy to be writing in my blog this very moment.
When i did get better i was sucked into the fast life of school and ever since I have been suck studying, completing assignments and online quizzes...

I can officially say 2009 is not my year...I lost a very close and dear friend and now I am praying for one to get out of a coma after been hit by two vechicles whilst riding a bike...W e sure live in a cold cold world...this are never as they may seem and then we have to face the harsh realities of losing someone.

Now I am thinking that I so need a vacation. Initially planned to go the U.S virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands but two days ago canceled that flight. Now am considering going to St. Lucia. Hopefully I get my mind right by Sunday.

Anways blog lovers am off to completing my homework assignments..

Another day of pain and hurt R.I.P Vishnan

I sent out a link to my blog to all my facebook friends that I knew were affiliated with Vishnan[ as many friends as facebook would allow me too].

This morning Miguel Chitolie-- a pass colleague mine and friend of Vishnan replied using a video to express his feelings...below is the video. Upon listening to the words, I could not help but cry just thinking about how true was the message of the song...

Indeed, I am sorry and now regretting i never told Vishnan how much i appreciated his friendship and that I loved him. I never told him and now i guess that more of what is killing me inside...

I will never forget May 7th 2009.Why? Because I lost a dear friend in the most shocking way ever.
I will never forget this day, because I will never forget about Vishnan. Right now i feel so helpless as I am out of the island and will not be back until December. I have summer school and then I leave here to go to Florida, St. Thomas and the British Virgin Islands.

Many people describe him as quiet, and indeed this is true until u get to know him. He is a wonderful individual inside out. The good times we shared whilst working together at First National Bank, and the friendship we kept even upon my resignation mean't alot to me. This guy was so funny and would use any opportunity to give me jokes about everything---the lame guys who were chasing after me, the fact that I according to him was too young to drink alcohol, not balancing before him, he eating all my fruit cake from my lunch bag. I mean we shared some good times....I thought we confined in each other but evidently not...because instead of turning to me to talk, he decided to take his own life.

Our supervisor, I know would say anything else but that we were her employees yet. We took control of the bank, and together we were a force to be reckoned with. Together we took a bad situation--like endless customers on a long tiring day--and made it into a race of who would have the most customers come to them. At the end of the day i remember V tallying up the stub that he had marked and counting it. Most times i handled more customers than him and ultimately he gave me the award of "Fastest Teller".

Lastnite i could barely get any sleep. I kept tossing and turning. I was begging God and the angels in the heaven that when i woke up in the morrow that all of this would go away. Robear kept trying to drill the harash reality into my head but i refused to believe it. How could Vishnan just take his own life away? Why did he have to be so selfish not caring about the many people he would hurt because they loved him, adored and cherish him?
This is killing me inside. I can't eat, sleep...when I smile I know the world sees how much it is fake. Many don't understand why his death would impact me so much....and i will tell them again.
He was one of the few people I labeled as a friend! He had so much confidence in me. He always believed that i could do anything..even the the impossible and that no doubt that one day I would be successful in life.That i took "risks" according to him....he didn't want to take the risk of taking a oan and coming to uni..but he might as well have done that!**tear**
They say good things don't last long and i guess they are right?

Rumors has it that it was because of his ex. Now I have one thing to say about that. I know he loved her and that she was the center of his world. What ever had happened in the relationship I do not know!I remember telling him make sure the two of them get married and when they were about too that I wanted my an invitation. Gosh i know he loved her....he would barely want to spend time with the guys because he was always worried about going home straight to her.....and if he did hang himself because of her...shame on human race---No one can get another person in their life like him.No one would be able to be cherished like he cherish her.....he spoke about her all the time....so much so that she was him and he--well he was her...[IN MY EYES] When a man loves a woman he loves her....people say that she had cheated...my take is why do some girls cheat?I don't know...and i don't know if she cheated....I mean in life talk must run

My advice to females who will be reading this though is that they should cherish a guy who loves them. I know of girls who just don't care and would sleep with ur father, brother, uncle, bestfriend if they could...with no sympathy, respect for the guy, his family and associates....but when they do that the shame must be on them being a Whore and not the guy...using all kinds of lame excuses like he did it first...PLEASEEEE...

Again I do not know why he would commit suicide? Me talking about her is a matter of talk running around town in St. Lucia.

Not too long ago Vishnan promised me that when I came to St. Lucia that he, my boyfriend, his girl and myself would hang out. He even said that if he wasn't busy that he would be on the airport waiting to greet me....He accused me of not even spending time with him and the crew when i was home for Christmas 2008...I NEVER KNEW THAT HE WOULD BE LEAVING THIS WORLD SO SOON....
We were even have the drink up of the century....but i guess that won't be happening....

As tears run down my face, and thoughts occupy my mind...and question marks seem to be everywhere in the universe....I want to end this post by saying that my sympathy goes out to his family and friends...

Bye Vishnan....Bye my friend....
You lived ur life like a candle in the wind....
Someday we will meet again in this other world....THIS IS THE ONLY SONG THAT CAN KEEP ME GROUNDED AND HELP ME IN SAYING GOOD BYE---

Defamation of character and a legal stand against it--online and otherwise!

Too many a time individuals use the internet as their way of targeting and threatening individuals. What's funny is that many of those who do that do not have enough money to feed themselves or have their own homes, farless pay a lawyer to defend them. But as my mom and dad said they do it to feel better and that we should pity them. I, and some of my friends as well, have been victims of such and boy or boy, i must say that if this were to happen this time wrong the ***C* will go down. I have it all planned out so right now am making sure I do not start anything with anyone on the internet, but patiently awaiting for them to start something with me.

Hacking of emails, and other protected social networks...trying to blackmail individuals through items found in their password secured email box, are all illegal activities that people engage in. Many people feel helpless by the situation but they should not because this too falls under "defamation of character" and the "hacking" laws.

I spoke to a few law professors of mine on the situation and they were telling me that this is now one of the top ways in which lawyers make money. That there are actually individuals pursing a degree as to specialize in such cases-- online related. If one is a victim of such they can sue for a large sum of money and the criminal also faces some time in prisons.

I.P addresses are the primary way of tracing illegal activities online but many other techniques can be used to gain sufficient evidence against the perpetrator. Below are a few links to lawyers;

A friend of mine as recently as December 2008 sued a girl who sent a forwarded email saying she had the HIV/AIDs virus; attached to the email was her photo---the girl had to pay up to 10,500.00 and 3 months in jail. Another friend of mind is now in the process of suing because her pictures were also sent in a forwarded email--the photos were somewhat nude.

Why have someone's password to their email or hack into someone's email and send their private stuff over the internet or even worse use it to black mail them. If you are rich and can afford to pay for your actions do it.

But if u ask me this is all too petty...too too petty..especially for the individuals who never seize to say that they are grown!

Ex Post Facto

Everyone should be familiar with the term 'ex post facto'. This very short and very brief post intend on defining this term and explain it in lay man's term. This all in an effort of making sure that you know your right!

According to the West Encyclopedia of American Law the term----; Are statutes that make an act punishable as a crime when such an act was not an offense when committed.

Article I, section 10, clause 1 of the Constitution provides that no state shall pass any ex post facto law;Article I, section 9, clause 3 imposes the same prohibition upon the federal government. The Supreme Court early determined that these clauses prohibit laws with retroactive effect only in the field of criminal law and do not apply to statutes dealing with civil matters.the Ex Post Facto Clauses also render invalid the retroactive application of laws that, while not creating new offenses, aggravate the seriousness of a crime. Moreover, a statute that prescribes a greater punishment for a crime already committed violates the clauses. A law that alters the rules of evidence so as to make it substantially easier to convict a defendant is likewise prohibited by the Constitution.

Miranda v Arizona (1966)

In this case the U.S Supreme Court declared a set of specific rights for criminal defendants. The Miranda warning names after Ernesto Miranda, one of the petitioners in the case, is a list of rights that a law enforcement officer must read to anyone arrested for a criminal act.

The Miranda cases involved four criminal defendants. Each of the defendants was appealing a conviction based in part on the failure failure of the law enforcement officers to advise him, prior to custodial interrogation of his right to attorney or his right to remain silent. Miranda wrote a confession on a piece of paper and signed it. The police claimed that Miranda has made the confessions voluntarily and with full knowledge his legal rights.

The Miranda ruling protects a suspects 5th Amendment right against self- incrimination.

I have been so caught up with mid terms and getting ready to move into my new apartments that i have had little time for the internet and my blog.
My email account is filled and its already a task just thinking of deleting emails and reading them. Then am trying to get this internship for the summer. But before that i have been working like a donkey planning/preparing for the Louisiana Political Science Association Conference scheduled for April 3rd and 4th.

Oh well its later and i have an early class. Am off to bed.

The next week or so i will be blogging on sororities and fraternities! Today i will give a brief historical introduction on them;

Peter paying for Paul! [outraged]

Recently I have been a victim of 'Peter paying for Paul.' And whats sad is that no matter how much I try to prove am not like 'Paul' i am not getting far.

My school library has this inter-loan program where if they do not have a particular book, then you can attempt to get it from another school in the United States but the messed up thing is that its restricted only to grad students and faculty. I have tried to place two orders online for a particular book and all have failed. When i called the lady wouldn't hear me out; "Mam, no matter what you say we do not allow undergrads to use this program." When questioned she said its because in the pass undergrads never returned the book. Now am in limbo wondering what can/should i do as i need this book for a very important book report and i need to start reading~!

Unlike the inflammation that occurs when you sprain an ankle or strain a muscle, the type that contributes to aging is persistent, and thought to be at the root of most chronic diseases, from cancer, heart disease, and diabetes to Alzheimer's, arthritis, and osteoporosis. Berries' beauty bonus: They're chock-full of vitamin C, another potent antioxidant that may help keep your complexion looking smooth by fighting those pesky (skin-damaging) free radicals.

Earlier reports had claimed that Rihanna agreed to forgive Brown after she realised that she was pregnant with his child.

"Rihanna is looking for the husband-and-two-kids deal before she turns 25. She believes in fairy tales, and she wants to live hers with Chris. She was totally up front and confessed to him, 'I can't live without you'", the source said.

The magazine has also published pictures of Rihanna and Brown together during their Miami holiday. The couple had avoided being spotted together after their reported
reconciliation.

The couple were at the centre of controversy when the news broke that the 19-year-old Brown had battered his long time girl friend Rihanna, after she reportedly questioned him over a text message from another woman.

The couple were to perform together at the Grammy's on February 8 but pulled out at the last moment following the incident.

Later, a leaked photograph of the singer taken after the incident showed the extent of injuries on her face. The photographs sparked outrage among the music industry as well as her fans.

Brown was boycotted by radio stations across the country and lost lucrative endorsement deals besides facing criticism from the industry's big wigs including Jay-Z and Kanye West.

After battering Rihanna, Brown went on to criticise her on his Facebook home page, but as the angry reactions started pouring in against him, the singer changed stance by expressing remorse over the incident.

1 Study in Short, Frequent Sessions.

It has been proven that short bursts of concentration repeated frequently are much more effective than one long session. So, even if you only have 10 minutes, DO IT. Take a break. Then study another 10 minutes. This “distributed learning” approach is highly efficient because it honors the way the brain likes to work. The brain needs recovery and recharging time for “protein synthesis.” The rest periods are when your brain assimilates your effort. They are a powerful tool which many teachers do not acknowledge. To sit and study for hours and hours is not only boring, it creates fatigue, stress, and distraction. You cannot learn if you are fatigued, stressed, and distracted!

2 Take Guilt-Free Days of Rest.

This follows the same principle as above, but on a longer, daily time cycle. The reason for resting is to refresh oneself. However, if you feel guilty (“I really should be studying”) then your precious rest period has been used to create more stress. The brain will not absorb new data if it is stressed. On days off from studying, really enjoy yourself and do not feel bad about not studying.

3 Honor Your Emotional State.

Do not study if you are tired, angry, distracted, or in a hurry. When the brain is relaxed, it is like a sponge and it naturally absorbs data without effort. If you are emotionally stressed, your brain literally repels data. Forcing yourself to sit and study when your mind is on other things is a complete waste of time!

4 Review the Same Day.

When you learn something new, try to go over the points the same day. If you wait a few days and then make efforts to review the material, it will seem much less familiar. However, a quick review later in the day will tend to cement the information into your brain so that the next “official” study session, you will recognize it and it will seem easy.

5 Observe the Natural Learning Sequence.

Think of the activities you did when you were in nursery school. Using your whole arm, you probably performed the song that goes: “Put your right hand in, Put your right hand out.” Then, in kindergarten, using your hand, you might have been asked to draw lines or circles with crayons. Later, in first grade, now holding the pencil with your fingers, you drew smaller lines and circles to create letters. Believe it or not, this natural learning sequence, moving from large to small, coarse to fine, still remains effective even though we are now older. When you study, if you try first to grasp the big picture and then fill in the details, you often have a more likely chance of success.

6 Use Exaggeration.

Why does a baseball batter warm up by swinging two or three bats? Why do runners sometimes strap lead weights to their legs? In both cases, exaggeration during practice makes the final result seem easy. This concept can be applied to studying anything. For example, if you are studying spelling, exaggerate the sound of the letters to help to remember them. So for studying purposes, “naive” would be pronounced “NAY-IVY.” By getting used to this exaggerated pronunciation, the correct spelling seems obvious.

7 Prepare Your Study Environment.

If you require certain elements in your environment to help you study, try to always make these a priority. For example, do you need special lighting, silence, music, privacy, available snacks, etc.? Pay attention to what works for you and repeat it each time you study for best success.

8 Respect “Brain Fade.”

It is normal for the brain to have an attrition rate and to forget things. This does not mean that you are stupid! Instead of getting mad about this fact, you should expect it and deal with it accordingly. See your brain as depositing layers of knowledge. As you place more information on top, the lower levels become older and less available to your immediate recall. The trick here is simply to review. Since we can anticipate the eventual fading of our memory, creating a review aspect to our study session will solve the problem. Once every two or three study sessions, simply review older material that you will be still needing to remember. Often, a quick overview is sufficient. Sometimes, a complete detailed study session of the older material is required. “Brain fade” is completely normal. (Unless you are gifted with a photographic memory, which is extremely rare.)

9 Create a Study Routine.

Generally, if you schedule certain times of the day to study, you will get into a routine and accomplish more. If you just “fit it in” during your day, chances are that there will never be any time. An effective way to do this is to literally mark it down in your datebook calendar as if you have an appointment, like going to the doctor. For example: “Tuesday 3-4:30 P.M. — Study.”

10 Set Reasonable Goals.

One of the main reasons people do not reach their goals is because they set them too high. If you set goals that are manageable, even if they seem too simple, you get in the habit of accomplishing them and gradually you can set higher goals. Also, recognize the difference between long-term and short-term goals. Set your vision on the long-term dream, but your day-to-day activity should be focused exclusively on the short-term, enabling steps.

11 Avoid the Frustration Enemy.

Ironically, the quicker the person’s nervous system, the faster they learn. Yet, this fast nervous system also works overtime in being self-critical. So they are the ones who always think they aren’t going fast enough! In contrast, the “Type B,” less intense person who learns slower yet is more self-accepting, ends up ultimately learning the material in a shorter period of time. This is because he/she doesn’t waste energy blocking, getting upset, and thinking that they’re not good enough — they simply keep moving forward at a slower (but un-blocked) pace.

I am always taken aback when certain individuals tend to be very arrogant because of a certain position that they hold in an office and society on the whole.They tend to turn up their nose at individual which they believe to be in a lower rank than they are. Some go as far as flaunting their monies [ really what monies]. They like to ridicule the struggling class.

Just reflecting on this makes me chuckle and gosh, how petty and stupid are those individuals. Individuals with high ranking offices should realize that there was someone else before them;that they too shall have to get off those soft comfortable office chair someday.

Those in society who are leaving on big estates might have to eventually sell the estate, move out due to bankruptcy…and then the laugh’s on who? OH no…not on the common people who are leaving the law abiding, caring way…haaa on the “big shots” [ there are alot of them even after everyone knows that they are broke are too ashame to move the wax in their eyes and face the reality].

I have always been someone who loves helping ppl out in any way possible so this week i took it up to be a student ambassdor for the new international students who will be attending Grambling State University. Like wow...this school has over 500 international students from over 48 countries....talk about diversity.

Anways some how i have been very lucky with the students from Sri Lanka, Trinidad and India...indians, indians indians...lol...so yes i have been up and down all over the school gettin them registered,getting overrides, meal plans,mail boxes...organizing their rooms...wow and they're like thank u tracy thank u and am like no problem.After all these problems will serve me well in losin a few pounds.,...lol...

None-the-less i am enjoying it but since classes are starting on monday i hope i get my small group settled down and good to go....

So yes i have missed my parents phone call,my uncle,tamicks,kershina and MY BABY---and all of them complaining ee...lol..Baby was like but boo stay in the room uh atleast an hour so we can just talk shate..u always on the go...then in the same twist he would be like thats y i love u ee..u like helpin ppl...

Hopefully i will get to rest my body this weekend cause my feet,back,thighs and stomach are all in pain but am not letting that stop me...anways got to run i was just waiting for a teacher who is in a meeting to give Meloni[ a Sri Lankan girl] an overide into CIS115 class

Guys is it me or would you all agree that there is a Global inflation in prices of goods and services with its root cause being the price of Gas on the market?Even the price of love increasing[love=free{then} love=money{now}].

I mean seriously everything increasing, prices sky high!!!OH LORD
I am here checking out the ticket prices to go home and realizes there is a news item stating that now U.S airlines are going to charge for pillows and blankets on their plane. Before that there was a news item which said that passengers are now charged for water on flights.And before that American Airlines[regardless of their not so impressive services] implemented a bag price $15 dollars first bag and $25 additional bags.

Now considering I am not one of the rich kids[or those playing rich] I am very very upset!!So now I have to work twice at hard to make money to go home.Lol...my friend was like i should take a loan, but when i take the loan and i do not have any money how i praying it back!!Common.

Right now I'm waiting for the Federal Reserve Bank to implement its easy monteary policy, and they better do that very soon or all hell will break loose.

Urgh...i hate this..tutuion and boarding prices are rocket skyhigh, ticket prices..everything, everything everything.....

-how hard it is to lose weight and how easy it is to gain

-the sudden increase in prices of goods and services
